Portland Gear has become a staple for Northwesters and PDX lovers over the past years. They have infused the city with a tribe like gathering and continue in making our city proud. We were thrilled when the Gear crew asked us to help them increase their product visibility and showcase area through the addition of custom cabinets, hang displays, and shelving units.
Nestled in the heart of Oregon wine country in Dundee, Oregon, Dobbes Family Estates came to SHELTER in search of creating a new outdoor environment that expanded upon their tasting room and offered a flexible space that could be used year round.
We are excited to bring you another Meet The Crew blog on fellow entrepreneur, Jesse Beam. Jesse is owner of J Beam Designs, where he works “as a freelance graphic artist, builds signage, creates logos, and brings his client’s ideas to life through a number of different avenues and medias.”
We always feel that it is very important to get away from the normal routines of life and to try new things and visit new places, especially those that get you out of your comfort zone. It’s somewhat like hitting a reset button. You will always end up learning more about yourself and finding inspiration to bring back into your daily life.
Whenever SHELTER finishes up on a build-out we are always interested in what people think of the spaces that we create. One of our latest builds, Anchoi received praise from Eater PDX and we could not be more thrilled for owner, Therese Tran.
West Coast Grocery Co. is Open for Brewsness. Stoked to get our latest build-out up on the blog to share with you guys. Check it out and let us know what you think, then head down and grab a beer from the new brewery.
For the Brewery's 10 year anniversary, SHELTER was asked to redesign and update the downtown space, to create a fresh hip new environment for Block 15 and the town of Corvallis. Check it out to see how this space transformed.
At SHELTER we feel very fortunate to be able to have a crew that is so incredibly passionate and dedicated to what we do. This month we want to share more about our friend and fellow adventurer, Myles Keating.
It has been a busy couple of months with two brewery build-outs drawing to a close. We have been listening to music all day everyday for the past month and have found our favorite cuts to share with you.
It was always a life long dream since I can remember to buy an old van and turn it into an adventure mobile. I dreamed of traveling across the states and beyond exploring old dirt roads and hidden coastlines in search of waves and adventure.
Happy New Year! We hope your 2018 is off to a great start. SHELTER is busier than ever so, that means our long days are full of music. We have compiled our favorites from this past month to bring you our January Cut List
Stoked to bring you another "Cut List". We found some good cuts this month and are excited to share them with you. Below you will find a compilation video with all our jams or below you can listen to each of the jams one by one.
At SHELTER we are constantly surrounding ourselves in exciting environments, good vibes, the wild outdoors and friends and family. One of the most influential and beneficial things we do is travel. Beginning now we will start to share with you our travels and how it influences our designs.
Our latest seating collection: The Crown Collection was designed for our Crown buildout. We wanted to create sleek chairs that felt industrial but modern at the same time. Together we were able to come up with 3 individual renditions
It's great to see that our most recent build, The Crown by Imperial was featured in Eater PDX "Hottest Restaurants in Portland for October" article. We had such a fun time working with the crew and chef Vitaly Paley in remodeling the old Portland Penny Diner into a hot new spot to grab a slice of pizza and a delicious drink.
