WHERE WE STARTED AND WHERE WE ARE NOW
Shelter is the culmination of years of experimentation, sketching, dreaming, designing, and building. It was born from long days on the beach as a kid building driftwood forts along the Oregon coast, close with nature and embodied in the elements. The gratification and excitement of building something with my own two hands, through hard work, trial and error, and creative exploration is what pushed me to create the company that we are today. From single car garages and our first shop, to the large warehouse we work out of now, we have experienced the ebs and flows of life through the lens of many business’s and clients
I am a strong believer in making spaces feel like a place to travel to. Inspired by nature, the ocean, adventure, surfing, and cultural , I want to make coming home feel like a sanctuary and reprise from the daily grind. Nothing excites me more than to create an experience that provides progressive aesthetics? Intriguing textures, bold statements, and seamless functionality. I hope to bring a sense of adventure and wonder and stewardship (protecting what we have) in to the lives of others through timeless products and enduring character.

Since our inception in 2013, our goal has been to bring people together through well thought out environments and products. Over that time we have refined our craft and are proud to bring to our clients and followers highly functional designs meant to last generations, through the use of high quality materials, finishes, and timeless designs. Our motto has always been “Built to Better,” with a focus on building things better in hopes to better the lives of those who use and interact with our products and designs. We strive to create gatherings and hubs for people to center around in hopes of sparking conversation and positive vibes.
